500,000!!! - TWICE

Posted by pepe | Friday, July 03, 2009 0 comments |

Hi guys!

On behalf of the directors and the developers, we want to thank all our newest members for crashing our servers as we hit half a million members :D So many people tried to register to be the 500,000th member and claim the 500,000 bonus shares that all chance to see the website in all her glory were blown. I guess tomorrow it’s time to upgrade a few processors and storage and see how soon you can crash them again. ;)

OK, joking aside, we have hit 500,000 members – its official! In fact we’ve hit it twice! Talk about creating a headache. Before I announce a few winners I want to explain why there appears to be 3 sets of population numbers in me2everyone.

On the guest area www.me2everyone.com there’s one number (currently 492434) and actually in a way this number is correct. Then on the database the last number recorded is 501416 – 8,982 higher than the guest area. Why? Well, we’ve looked into this and found that the difference is actually the number of people who have not yet activated their accounts. We will follow this up next week.

OK – so the latest main database number is 501416 (at the time of writing). So that seems a little higher than the population in the members’ area – which has recently crossed 500,000 – so what’s going on there? Well it seems the counter in the members’ area is based on all accounts less the accounts under investigation or being closed. Sooo confusing!

We’ve asked the developers to synchronise all counters to give a more accurate reflection of the population figures and we’ll let you know when this has been done. But for now it leaves a little puzzle – who was the 500,000th member of me2everyone and who wins the 500,000 bonus shares?

THE WINNERS

Well to be fair to everyone we’re having two sets of winners! First up is Mišo Krog (ID 500000) who actually became the 500,000th person registered in our database. Mišo wins 500,000 shares right now. Mišo was introduced by Alja Prevolek (ID 44533) who also wins 500,000 Bonus shares.

Next we have the person who actually tipped the members area population above 500,000 (which so many of you were aiming for) and the winner here is: Julio Rosadilla (ID 501394). Julio was introduced by Andres Rosadilla (ID 34684).

We’ll get one of our press officers to contact these members to bring you their reaction asap.

Tomorrow: Winners or the 10m share race!

M2E - ENDING THE RACE : WHAT'S NEXT?

Posted by pepe | Thursday, July 02, 2009 0 comments |

Perhaps today, perhaps tomorrow me2everyone achieves the milestone of half a million members. At the very second someone becomes member number 500,000 a whole stack of things has to happen.

Firstly that member will be thrust into the limelight and 500,000 shares will be added to their account. They will be asked to speak to one of our Press Officers who will write up an article. At the same time the person who introduced this member will also receive 500,000 bonus shares and be in contact with the same Press Officer.

Meanwhile the 10m share race comes to a dramatic end as we take a snapshot of the top 2000 recruiters. Very quickly we will announce the key winners and for a whole week one of our colleagues will be adding a combined 88.5m bonus shares to the accounts of our winners and their introducers. Our Press officers will be on hand to discover recruiting tips and share these with all members. Personal stories will emerge and no doubt new friendships will be formed.

We’ve also said that at the 500,000th member we would end the current offer of 5,000 shares for each introduction. Well, we expect a flurry of activity this week and so we are keeping the 5,000 share award open for a while longer – think of it as a consolation prize for not winning. Still what a prize! In the years to come, based on our projections those 5000 shares could be worth GBP £2900. I the next few days we will give you the date and time when the 5000 bonus ends and what replaces it.

Good Luck!

M2E - ENDING THE INTERVIEW [ PART 3 ]

Posted by pepe | Thursday, July 02, 2009 0 comments |

As promised (and hopefully ahead of schedule) is the final, short part of June’s interview with the directors. Tomorrow we can go back to reporting news from within me2everyone and begin answering some of your emails here – for everyone to see.

How will CCMs be trained so that they are able to perform competently?

For those members who have no idea what a Customer Care Manager is, let’s just spend a minute explaining it. me2everyone wants to establish a support system that’s second to none. So we’ve decided to create a freelance business upgrade for 70,000 members. This gives you the chance to represent me2everyone in your local language and time zone. It gives our support system a true, 24/7 availability and every member has a direct contact who can help them achieve the best possible experience from me2everyone.

Every CCM will start with a small group of members, whom they will come to know personally. As more members join m2e, they will choose the CCM they want to be assigned to and every CCM will be authorised to look after a maximum of 3600 free members and 195 business members.

So imagine it’s day one and you’re about to begin the role of CCM. What happens now? Well first things first you will sign into the bespoke member management system we’ve developed. This will ask you a few simple questions to get your business set up. When you launch the system takes care of allocating members to you (the members themselves choose you). They also give you feedback based on service levels, friendliness, etc and this is portrayed as a star system.

Now we don’t throw you to the wolves and hope for the best. We assign you to a Global Exec – someone who becomes your mentor and who looks after all your questions and helps you settle in with your members. This gives you ongoing training and support. Your Global Exec also looks after other CCMs and this gives you all a chance to learn from each other. It’s a complete support system. Oh and then there’s us. We want you to succeed and so we’re on hand to help you.

It's been along 5 months since I joined. How many people do you think we have lost along the way?

me2everyone is 4 months behind schedule but we’re picking up the pace and delivering on our promises. Forecasts on member losses vary widely but it’s hard to predict. To come will be an email that tells everyone we are here and our PR engine starts up too giving us wider publicity. I’m sure we’ve lost members – whilst most will simply be dormant – waiting the chance to hear what’s happened and to be asked – do you really want to throw those free shares away?

What is the legal tax position on any money I receive from me2everyone?

Everyone’s personal tax circumstances are different and with nearly half a million members in more than 170 countries, we can only provide you with some basic advice based on life here in the UK. The simple fact of life in most places is that if you receive any income from me2everyone: say dividends, commissions or royalties then you should declare this to your own tax authorities. If you sell your shares down the line, there’s going to be tax that’s due. But this is your affair and your decision. We will simply create an environment where our members can make money. What you do with it afterwards is completely up to you.

The recruitment is down to less than 500 per day. How are you going to get this back towards the 5000+ you once had?

We’re forecasting hitting the 500,000 mark during Wednesday and the recent rapid acceleration has been attributed to the new members’ area coming live, the culmination of the 10m share chase and the special increase in bonus shares for joining me2everyone. But what happens then to keep the momentum going?

Well the next milestone is 1m members and we want to achieve this by October 1st so what do we have up our sleeves next? Well, the numbers of shares for joining has to decrease: 5000 paid up shares actually costs one of our partners approximately USD $8.00 so that can’t go on forever.

So tomorrow you’re going to discover just how long we can keep this 5,000 bonus going for and this will possibly see a flurry of new members. Next our sales guys want to create a new competition where for every member you recommend into me2everyone you receive one entry into a competition. The prizes there will be something special and quite possibly we could repeat this on a weekly basis. Eventually this will give way to the main Leader Boards.

The thing to remember is that me2everyone is your website. In the next six weeks you will be holding your own, registered share certificate in me2everyone PLC. That’s when this idea of ownership becomes very real. We’re sure that hundreds of thousands of members will suddenly start to think seriously about bringing more of their friends and family on board.

We’re also going to start improving content. Later this week there will be news about an exclusive game being developed for m2e that’s lighting up the faces of everyone we tell. The simple fact is we achieved nearly half a million members with virtually no website. What can we achieve now?
